How it works
Tannins are natural polyphenols found in grape skins and oak barrels. They give wine its structure, but in younger pours, they can sometimes feel a bit sharp or astringent on the palate.
"It's all in the clay."
The sciency bit
Our high-fired stoneware is rich in naturally occurring iron and minerals. Combined with an unglazed, micro-textured interior surface, the ceramic encourages gentle micro-oxygenation by maximizing liquid-to-clay contact as you pour.

Softens tannins
When wine rests in our ceramics, the tactile surface helps round out those sharp, astringent edges. For best results, simply pour, let the wine breathe in the vessel for at least 15 minutes, and enjoy a noticeably smoother finish.

Intensifies aromas
Inspired by ancient clay winemaking vats, the tactile stoneware body promotes micro-aeration as you swirl and serve. This helps unlock tightly bound fruit notes and rich aromatics, acting as a natural aroma amplifier for your table without altering the integrity of the wine.

Keeps it cool
Thick stoneware possesses natural thermal mass, holding temperature far better than standard thin glass. Serve at cellar temperature or pre-chill your vessel to keep your wine refreshingly cool throughout long, slow lunches.
